With an installed capacity of 322 MW, Whitelee will be Europe's largest wind farm, Siemens says.
Total contract value, the largest wind farm contracted by Siemens to date, is approximately €350 million.
Completion of the project is scheduled for summer 2009.
Later this year, Siemens also begins delivery of 14 wind turbines with a capacity of 1.3 MW each for Scottish Power’s Wether Hill Wind Farm in Scotland.
