Siemens to develop two UK offshore wind farms

Siemens is to supply 54 of its 3.6 MW wind turbines for the Lynn and Inner Dowsing projects in Lincolnshire off the east coast of England with a combined capacity of 180 MW.

The buyer is UK gas major Centrica and the € 440 million deal includes a five-year operations and maintenance programme. Siemens T&D is to supply the grid connection for both projects too.
