Spanish wind consolidation continues as Acciona buys Cesa

The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, will add some 536 MW of installed capacity in Spain, creatin the country's second-largest wind generation company with about 18% of the market.

Acciona bought wind developers EHN several years ago in an €800 million move before its latest deal, which saw it buy Ceatesalas – which controls 93% of Cesa – to value the wind player at €1.37 billion.

The deal also gives Acciona assets in Italy, Greece, Portugal and Hungary.
