Tajikistan to export power to Russia

Reports that Kazakhstan is building a second North-South transmission line to substantially strengthen links between regional states and Russia include the expectation that Tajikistan will export some 700 GWh to Russia this year. The North-South transmission line would make it possible for Tajikistan to export electricity to Russia via Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
