Project Lesedi: Operation and Maintenance Service Provider for Xstrata thermal PP

Invitation to submit company profile

Interested service providers are invited to submit their company profiles for consideration by Xstrata as part of the tender process in respect of the appointment of an experienced power plant operator to undertake the role of operator and maintainer for the Xstrata Thermal Power Generation Project.

Companies with acceptable profiles/credentials that adhere to the prequalification standards as specified below will be formally invited to participate in an open tender process, including a prescribed scope of work.

Company profiles must include the following: l Company history l Relevant experience in the role of operator and maintainer in thermal power generation plants l Current clientele (description of the current largest active contract) l List of all contracts with personnel committed andservices provided l Company organogram l Company’s cash flow analysis for the past 3 years l Documented health and safety plan l Proof that the company has an effective communication policy/mechanism in place l Proof that the company has the necessary competencies and resources l Description of the company’s shareholding structure and BBBEE status (accreditation document) l Details regarding litigation pending between the contractor and existing clients (if any) l ISO accreditation 18000 and/or 9002 l Project systems.

If the company does not comply with all or any of the above,it should clearly describe or demonstrate how the above requirements will be met.

The closing date and time for submission of company profiles is 17 February 2010 at 12:00pm.

Company profiles must be submitted in the tender box at Commercial Services at the Shared Services Building, 91 Ridder Street, Rustenburg.

Interested service providers are hereby invited to submit their company profiles for consideration by Xstrata as part of the tender process in respect of the appointment of an Engineering Consultant to undertake the role of Owners’ Engineer for the Xstrata Thermal Power Generation Project.

Companies with acceptable profiles/credentials and that adhere to the pre-qualification standards as specified below will be formally invited to participate in an open tender process, including a prescribed scope of work.
