Three Gorges capacity breaches 8 GW

Installed capacity at the world’s largest hydro-electric project, China's Three Gorges dam, reached 8.4 GW at the end of June, according to the China Electricity Council.

For the first six months of the year, the Three Gorges complex located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River produced a total of 20.41TWh.
