TXU adds 200 MW of wind

The project, Airtricity’s third in Texas, will use 209 1 MW Mitsubishi turbines and will cover nearly 30,000 acres when it is completed by the end of the year

By the end of this year Airtricity will operate 550 MW wind power in Texas.

In related news Xcel Energy has announced plans to build or purchase 200 MW of wind capacity in North Dakota by 2011.
