UES to export power to China

Initially the power will come from the Bureisk hydro plant through to 2010 under the first phase of the project which will see China receive 3.6 – 4.3 TWh annually starting from 2008.

From 2010, exports will increase to 18 TWh before a third phase provides for exporting up to 38.4 TWh from 2015, with further growth up to 60 TWh.
