Vestas has signed an order to supply 16 of its V112-3.3 MW wind turbines for the San Antonio wind project in Guatemala.
The order from Eólico San Antonio El Sitio SA and Wind Turbine Investments SA includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a ten-year service agreement.
Delivery of the turbines for San Antonio start in the fourth quarter of 2014, and the project is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2015, Vestas says.

The San Antonio wind project will have an estimated annual production of 150,000 MWh, which Vestas says will provide Guatemala with enough electricity to cover the residential electricity consumption of more than 890,000 people.
