Wärtsilä to deliver 76 MW to Kansas

The gas-fired power plant, to be called the Goodman Energy Center, will be located in Hays, Kansas with Wärtsilä supplying nine 20V34SG engines with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).

The plant is expected to begin producing power in time for the summer 2008 peaking season and to be in full commercial operation by September 2008. The contract is valued at more than $30 million.

Burns & McDonnell, Inc. of Kansas City will serve as the project's engineering, procurement and construction contractor.
