A new 30 MW wind farm is to be built in Hawaii on the island of Maui. HSH Nordbank and Dexia Crédit Local arranged the $69.5 million financing of the project, which is being developed by Kaheawa Wind Power, a joint venture between majority holders UPC Wind Partners and local partners Makani Nui Associates.

The Kaheawa Pastures project consists of 20 GE 1.5 MW turbines and is expected to be completed in early 2006.
