Wood-fired power plant first for Thailand

Thailand’s Forestry Department plans to start the country’s first wood-fired power plant by the end of the year.

Thanee Viriyarattanaporn, director of forest management and production research, reportedly said that the Bht 15 million ($357,000) 100 kW pilot project would be developed in Saraburi province. Eucalyptus and kratin yak wood would be the main fuel.
