Three Alimak elevators give access to the HRSG's

Three Alimak SE 500 elevators were supplied to provide the permanent access to the HSRG stack stair towers.

Three Alimak SE 500 rack & pinion driven industrial elevators were supplied to the EPC contractor, for this CCGT power station project in the UK, one on each of the HRSG stack stair access towers. The elevators will be used by the station operators, to transport personnel, tools and parts, to improve movement, safety and productivity at the station. In addition to the elevators, Alimak Hek also provided the safety guarding on the stair tower, to prevent personnel from reaching into the lifting area. The client chose the robust rack & pinion drive, due its proven 40+ year record in heavy industrial environments such as power stations, chemical plants, ports, steelworks and offshore vessels. The Alimak rack & pinion driven elevators also eliminated the need to provide an expensive supporting elevator shaft and machinery room, which is required with other elevators.
