Andritz offers Vosteen’s Br-enhanced mercury oxidation

28 October 2018

Andritz has signed an agreement with Cologne based Vosteen Consulting for the “exclusive sale of proven mercury reduction technologies to be used in fossil fuel based power plants in Europe.”

In line with EU BREF (Best Available Techniques Reference Document) requirements, mercury emissions from fossil fuelled power plants must be addressed as from 2021 and Andritz says, following the Vosteen agreement, it “is now able to offer its customers tailor-made, highly economically attractive technologies that enable them to fulfill the required mercury emission limits.”

Andritz says it and Vosteen Consulting “have been partners in the field of mercury control and reduction since 2009, and several product innovations in emission reduction have resulted since then from this successful co-operation.”
