In 2011, a problem in one of Cyprus’s power stations led to power cuts across the country. Since then, the need for a safe and reliable emergency power source has become a priority for large buildings in Cyprus.

HIMOINSA, through its distributor Royal Engineering, has installed two HDW-460 T5 generator sets in the Central Bank of Cyprus to supply emergency power throughout the building, except for the air conditioning systems.

Every day, numerous government payments are made through this institution and the service can be affected by a prolonged power cut. To ensure that the bank can continue to operate, the generators are ready to work in parallel and can together supply up to 1000 kVA of stand-by power, double the power needs of the building as a whole.

In addition, the machines incorporate a PMG (permanent magnet generator), which ensures better load impact regulation and guarantees a more stable and faster response.
