Doosan turbine for Jordan CCGT

Doosan Škoda Power is to supply a 183 MWe turbine set for expansion of the Hussein combined cycle plant (also called Zarqa), located near Amman, Jordan. The expanded plant will have a total installed capacity of 485 MWe.

The contract has been placed by the EPC contractor for the overall project, SEPCOIII of China.

A 135 MW steam turbine of Skoda design that has been in successful operation in the Jordanian Al Qatrana combined cycle power plant since 2011 served as a valuable e reference for obtaining this new contract, says Skoda.
