German company Lurgi Lentjes has received an order for two boilers for a power plant in Dunkirk from the French utility Gaz de France. The deal is worth E55 million. The two waste heat boilers will produce up to 550 t/h of steam. Each unit will capture heat from the exhaust of a gas turbine, but can also be fired with either natural gas or blast furnace gas from a neighbouring steel works. The latter will be one of the main customers for electricity generated by the power plant. The delivery time for the order is 26 months.
