GT10C - uprated gas turbine

20 September 1998

ABB has launched the GT10C, an uprated version of its GT10B industrial gas turbine. The GT10C has a simple-cycle shaft output of 30 MWe, with an efficiency of 37 per cent.

A new feature of the GT10C is its dry low emission (DLE) capability for both gas and liquid fuels. NOx emissions of 15 ppmv on gas fuel, and 42 ppmv on liquid fuel will be achieved.

The compressor has 11 stages, compared to the 10 stages that are in the GT10B. This results in a higher pressure ratio and an increased mass flow through the engine.

ABB claims that the GT10C is well placed to penetrate the offshore market. It is due for ex-works delivery by the middle of the year 2000.
