Lubricant contracts

20 December 2000

PowerNet, BP’s products and services provider to the generation industry, has won two major new contracts in the Caribbean and South America. Wartsilla NSD Operations has awarded BP the lubrication and oil conditioning contract for the 11 MW Crabbs Peninsual power plant in Antigua which Wärtsillä operates on behalf of Antigua Energy Operations. BP will supply lubricants for the main power plant – two WNSD 18V32 units – and ancillary equipment, and provide technical support services include lubricant condition monitoring. In a similar arrangement BP has gained the supply contract for lubricant supply, condition monitoring and technical support for the 22 MW Georgetown power plant in Guyana. Here there are four WNSD18V32 residual fuelled engines at the Demerara Power Company’s plant.
