The CHP jet goes on stream

Volvo Aero Turbines has won a Design Council award for its VT600 CHP unit, developed from a jet engine.

The first natural gas-fired VT600 has been installed at a hospital in mid-England. It is expected to reduce annual emissions of CO2 by 4000 tons, SO2 by 85 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 11 tons.
