Ansaldo Energia wins Bengang contract

In the presence of Chinese president, Xi Jinping, and Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte, Ansaldo Energia has signed a contract worth about 25 million euro to supply a AE94.2K gas turbine and syngas compressor train for the 180 MW Bengang combined cycle power plant in north-east China, which is owned by Benxi Steel Group. The AE94.2K gas turbine is well suited to burning low calorific gases such as syngas as well as steel mill and blast furnace gases.

{blob}Ansaldo Energia (40% owned by Shanghai Electric) has signed an agreement with China United Gas Turbine Company (UGTC) on “technology collaboration in the field of heavy duty gas turbines.” This follows the MoU with State Power Investment Corporation, the majority shareholder of UGTC, announced in July 2018. UGTC is aiming develop an indigenous heavy duty turbine technology for China.
