Areva to modernise Moscow grid

Under the contract, awarded by Soyuz EPC company, Areva will supply electrical equipment to replace ageing substations owned by FSK, Russia’s Federal Grid Company. The contract covers 220 kV and 550 kV high-voltage gas-insulated switchgear bays in Zapadnaya and Chagino, near Moscow, scheduled for delivery towards the end of 2007.
