Energia crowdfunding to advance Na and Li-ion technology

9 April 2024

Energia Power Systems, a power storage company developing rechargeable sodium-ion and lithium-ion batteries, has announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder.

Emerging from the prominent research laboratories of Stanford University, Energia is developing what it describes as ground-breaking, rechargeable batteries featuring a thionyl chloride-based electrolyte. These batteries, characterised by their elevated capacity and energy density, are expected to prove eminently suitable for prolonged and stable use scenarios in a wide range of industries and applications.

"The dream of a clean, but powerful, energy future shouldn't be reserved for the big players," said Joseph Hernandez, chairman and CEO of Energia. "At Energia, we're making green energy investment accessible to everyone."

The company is 'testing the waters' to gauge investor interest in an offering under Regulation Crowdfunding, which involves certain conditions. No money or other consideration is being solicited, and if sent, it will not be accepted. No offer to buy securities will be accepted. No part of the purchase price will be received until a ‘Form C’ is filed and only through Wefunder's platform. An indication of interest involves no obligation or commitment of any kind.
