Foster Wheeler's licensee, BHI, has received contracts to supply heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) for projects in Thailand and South Korea.

The first contract is with Mitsubishi Corporation for the design and supply of four HRSGs for the 240 MW Bangpoo cogeneration power plant project in Thailand. The project, which is scheduled to be online by the third quarter of 2016, will use Siemens gas turbine technology.

BHI also received a contract from Daewoo Engineering & Construction to design and supply two HRSGs for the 940 MW Pocheon combined-cycle IPP project in South Korea. The plant will feature two 60Hz Mitsubishi M501J gas turbines and is expected to be in operation by March 2017.

The terms of the agreements have not been disclosed, but BHI says it has received full notice to proceed on both contracts.

"Our HRSGs operating behind Siemens and Mitsubishi J-gas turbines, respectively, will help secure reliable power generation in Thailand and South Korea," says Woo Jong-Ihn, president, BHI Co., Ltd

Based in South Korea, BHI offers HRSGs, pulverized coal (PC) boilers, circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers and oil and gas boilers all utilising Foster Wheeler's technology.
