Morocco’s Agency for Sustainable Development (MASEN) has launched the tender for the Noor Midelt II solar farm.
MASEN has invited interested groups to submit documents for the first phase of selection for the solar power plant, which will have a capacity of 230 MW.
Companies have until mid-September to register their interest in the design, finance, construction and operation of Noor Midelt II, which will be located near the town of Midelt in the Atlas mountains and use both photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal technologies.
In May 2019, Masen selected a consortium comprising France’s EDF, Masdar and Green of Africa to build and operate the 800 MW Noor Midelt I complex.
