Saudi to merge power firms

Saudi Arabia will merge its four regional electricity companies "very soon" in preparation for privatisation. Electricity and Industry Minister Hashim Abdullah Yamani said: "The Saudi Electricity Co will soon be established, as the government has approved the merger of the electricity firms."
