Turbine inlet cooling gets an association

20 December 2000

A recent Power-Gen conference in Orlando, Florida, was host to the inaugural meeting of a new organisation called the Turbine Inlet Cooling Association (TICA).

The TICA's mission is to promote the development and exchange of knowledge related to combustion turbine inlet cooling for enhancing power generation. The organisers perceive that the interest in inlet cooling is sufficient to support a new organisation devoted entirely to this technology.

So far TICA has attracted eleven founding members who have made commitments to the association. Other organisations are being encouraged to join, including power producers, institutional power producers, manufacturers, suppliers and contractors, A&E companies, consulting companies and not-for-profit organisations.

For further information contact Dharam V Punwani the TICA president (email dpunwani@avalonconsulting.com).
