Trina Storage has expanded its strategic partnership with Lightshift Energy a US based developer, owner, and operator of energy storage systems. The aim is to deliver a portfolio greater than 1 GWh of energy storage projects across the United States.
The storage will utilise Trina’s Elementa 2 Pro solution, which is engineered for high efficiency, intrinsic safety, and dependable performance under diverse operating conditions.
Trina Storage is growing its presence in North America, and with Lightshift has previously demonstrated a successful collaboration, including four projects in Groton, Holden, and Paxton, Massachusetts in 2024. During a Northeast heatwave, Trina Storage commissioned two sites ahead of schedule, providing critical capacity to local utilities during periods of elevated demand. These results, says Trina, highlighted the effectiveness of co-ordinated planning, responsive delivery, and consistent system performance in the field. The continuing partnership and large GWh portfolio is said to demonstrate Trina’s expertise in US energy storage project engineering, certification, commissioning, and operations, its regional teams and partners supporting local system integration, EMS co-ordination, grid testing, and onsite commissioning.
