Completion is scheduled for May 2009; however, Amec will remain on site to support Southern Company during system start-up and commissioning.

Southern Company has awarded Amec a contract to install new clean-air systems on two 865 MW coal-fired boilers in Georgia. The contract will see Amec construct a new scrubber system designed to remove sulphur dioxide.
