Work has begun on a hydropower project on the upper Dishui river in China’s Guangzi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The project is being developed jointly by the government of the Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County and an unnamed Hong Kong company.
The dam is expected to be completed in 30 months after which three 9 MWe turbine generators will be installed. The river has an estimated generating capacity of 78.5 MWe.
