Having obtained the construction permit from the Ministry of Science and Technology the initial concrete installation ceremony for the installation of Shin-Kori nuclear reactor 2 was held in early June.
With the concrete work now begun, Shin-Kori nuclear reactor 2 will be installed next year, says Doosan, which will supply the nuclear reactor, steam generators and other major items of equipment.
Shin-Wolsong nuclear reactors 1 and 2 and Shin-Kori nuclear reactors 1 and 2 are due to be completed by 2012.
