The plant came on-line in 1983 and MHI had previously installed a replacement reactor vessel closure head at the 915 MW PWR in 2004. The CRDMs will be manufactured at MHI’s Kobe Shipyard works and are slated for delivery in May 2008.
MHI control rod drives for Ringhals
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has received an order for a set of replacement control rod drive mechanisms (CRDM) for unit 4 of Sweden’s Ringhals, 60 km south of Gothenburg.
