The Malaysian utility Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has signed three agreements with SKS Power Sdn Bhd relating to a proposed coal-fired power plant in Mukim Serkat, Pontian, Johor, due on line in 2006. The deal covers power purchase, coal supply and transport, and transmission works. The latter will permit SKS to carry out grid reinforcement and connection of the plant to the grid. The new station will have a capacity of 2100 MW.
