The Bonneville Power Administration is to take the entire output of the Condon wind project for 20 years. The wind farm is located on private farmland in Gilliam County, Oregon, and is being developed by SeaWest Wind Power.
The plant will comprise 83 turbines with an aggregate capacity of 49.8 MW. All 83 units are expected to be operating by the middle of 2002. Power from the wind farm will cost around $0.055/kWh.
