Hanwha Impact’s subsidiaries, Hanwha Power Systems and PSM (a US-based gas turbine service company) are to integrate their brands and change the company name to Hanwha Power.
The creation of Hanwha Power brings together two providers of engineered solutions for the gas turbine power plant market. The company intends to position itself as a comprehensive energy infrastructure provider, covering main equipment, auxiliary systems, and services. This turning point propels the two companies beyond their individual, equipment-focused business structures into a solution provider with integrated response capabilities, focusing on the demand for integrated solutions such as electrification and the data centre market. The company aims to enable customers to use a single partner to optimise across the entire lifecycle and to quickly respond to a changing energy environment.
It will also build on its LNG gas turbine capabilities to consolidate its expertise in low-carbon power generation, using fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia, to align with the global trend toward decarbonisation.
Hanwha Power plans to integrate and operate its global bases in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, aiming to optimise operations across technology development, engineering, sales, and services.
