Trina Storage has completed shipment and site delivery of the Gamma Battery Energy Storage System in Izvoarele, Giurgiu County, Romania, with installation now underway. The 40 MW / 160.48 MWh project is being delivered for LSG and is scheduled for commissioning in Q3 2026.

The project uses 32 Elementa 2 Pro battery units and four Electra AC units, making it the first European deployment of Trina Storage’s integrated DC+AC infrastructure. Trina says the system is designed to support ancillary services, wholesale arbitrage, load balancing and renewable integration as Romania’s storage market grows.

The project underlines the company’s expanding execution capabilities in Europe, including logistics, compliance and integrated project delivery.

LSG said it selected Trina for the project as part of efforts to strengthen grid resilience and support the country’s renewable energy transition.
