RWE has agreed to sell its F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind development project to Poland’s PGE, a 350 MW site 50 km off Ustka in the Polish Baltic Sea. The deal, set to close in Q1 2026, follows the prior transfer of an adjacent site’s Environmental Decision and data to PGE.
RWE CEO Offshore Wind Sven Utermöhlen said PGE’s portfolio synergy positions it better to advance the project standalone. RWE stays committed to Poland’s energy shift, running over 660 MW of onshore wind and solar there while building four major offshore farms elsewhere in Europe.
As a top global offshore wind player, RWE operates 19 farms across five countries totalling 6.2 GW capacity (3.3 GW share), with 4.8 GW (3.1 GW share) under construction at sites like Sofia, Thor, OranjeWind, and Nordseecluster.
