INNIO Group has signed a strategic gas engine framework agreement with Rehlko covering 1.25 GW of capacity over the next three years, expanding an existing firm reservation of 700 MW. The deal is aimed at meeting fast‑rising demand from data centres and flexible generation projects in global markets.
The agreement gives Rehlko and its customers longer‑term supply visibility at a time when demand is being driven by structural growth in data infrastructure and grid resilience rather than short‑term market cycles. INNIO said the framework will help provide planning certainty for applications where dependable delivery and proven technology are critical, including hyperscale data‑centre power and grid‑stabilisation schemes.
Rehlko will deliver the projects through Clarke Energy, its engineering and lifecycle solutions arm. Clarke Energy has worked with INNIO for more than 30 years and supports a global installed base of more than 10 GW, much of it covered by long‑term service agreements.
INNIO president and chief executive Dr. Olaf Berlien said the deal strengthens the partnership between the two companies and underlines the value of dependable execution in high‑criticality applications. Rehlko chief executive Brian Melka said multi‑year supply access improves confidence for customers making long‑term investments in data centre and flexible power assets.
The framework comes as data centre developers and grid operators continue to seek fast, dispatchable generation that can be deployed without waiting on transmission upgrades. The agreement reflects ongoing activity in distributed power infrastructure, where modular gas engines are being used to address near-term reliability requirements alongside longer-term decarbonisation goals.
