In recent months, px group has signed five Letters of Intent to support major renewable energy infrastructure projects across Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

These include four green hydrogen/ammonia initiatives and one sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant. All LOIs cover full operations and maintenance (O&M) scope, with several also including owner’s engineering and advisory services.

Raymond Smebye, px Group’s business development director for Scandinavia, commented: “While headlines suggest the opposite, there’s still real momentum on the ground – we’re seeing serious players pushing forward. They’re refining business models and moving into execution planning.”

One of the ammonia projects is linked to a floating concept, while others are tied to integrated or standalone production facilities. The SAF plant is still early in development but represents a vital step in decarbonising aviation.

px Group operates 16 industrial facilities across the UK, Ireland and Norway – including a wide range of process plants, with 6 categorised as high-hazard sites. These include gas processing plants, a medium-scale LNG facility, combined heat and power (CHP) units, plastic recycling and biomass sites. The company continues to invest in the energy transition while also maintaining critical infrastructure across the broader energy system.

“The question for 2025 isn’t whether these technologies work,” Smebye says. “It’s whether we, as an industry, can deliver them reliably, safely and affordably. That’s the challenge – and the opportunity – we’re embracing.” px Group’s belief is that successful delivery is not only possible, but fully achievable – with the right operational models, systems, and culture in place.
