RWE and PGE have closed their transaction for the F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind project, with PGE now sole owner of the 350 MW development 50 km off Ustka in the Polish Baltic Sea. The deal follows last December’s announcement and includes a prior transfer of the adjacent 44.E.1 site’s Environmental Decision and data.
RWE affirmed its commitment to Poland’s energy transition, operating over 700 MW of onshore wind and solar farms in the region. It views PGE’s portfolio as better suited to advance F.E.W. Baltic II standalone, while maintaining its own offshore growth targets.
RWE runs 19 offshore wind farms across five countries totalling 6.2 GW capacity (3.3 GW share), with four more under construction – Sofia, Thor, OranjeWind, and Nordseecluster – adding 4.8 GW (3.1 GW share) upon completion.
