Vallourec has signed a five-year supply contract with geothermal developer Fervo Energy to provide US-manufactured tubulars and VAM® connections for its GeoBlock deployment across the United States, supporting a fully domestic supply chain for geothermal well infrastructure.

Under the arrangement, Vallourec will serve as Fervo’s exclusive supplier of premium tubulars developed, with products delivered through distribution partner Sooner Inc. The tubes are engineered for the high‑temperature conditions of next‑generation geothermal wells, including VAM high‑torque semi‑flush connections adapted from shale applications and now proven in geothermal environments.

The partnership supports Fervo’s strategy of building repeatable 50 MW GeoBlocks, starting with its Cape Station project and expanding to other sites as demand for 24/7, carbon‑free power rises. By locking in long‑term domestic supply, Fervo aims to cut supply chain risk, shorten project timelines and secure more predictable costs – a key advantage as investment in advanced geothermal in the US has grown more than fivefold since 2022, according to the IEA.

Vallourec bookings for geothermal products have more than tripled in 2025 compared with the prior two‑year average, underscoring the commercial momentum behind the deal.

Vallourec CEO Philippe Guillemot said the contract underlines the value of the company’s low‑carbon, vertically integrated production hubs and tailored technological solutions for emerging energy transition segments.

Fervo CEO Tim Latimer said the agreement strengthens American manufacturing, secures critical infrastructure at home and supports the efficient build‑out of geothermal capacity to meet long‑run electricity demand, including from data centre growth.
